Navkar Apotek & Pronavkar Lifecare LLP ("we", "our", "us") operates the LLP Dispatch Scanner (also referred to as Navkar Barcode Scanner) application. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and store information through this mobile application.
1. Introduction
The LLP Dispatch Scanner is an internal warehouse utility. Its core purpose is to allow employees to scan barcodes/invoices and transmit dispatch information to a company-configured local PC server. The App is intended for authorized use within our warehouse and dispatch operations.
2. Information We Handle
The App handles the following information to perform its functions:
- Barcode / Invoice Data: The App scans barcode values which may encode invoice/bill identifiers. This data is validated and processed locally.
- Employee Name: Operators can enter their name in the App Settings. This name is used to identify the operator associated with scanned/dispatched bills.
- Scan History & Timestamps: Successful scan records and their associated timestamps are stored locally for tracking, reference, and audit purposes.
- Pending Queue: When the App is offline or in pending mode, scan records are stored locally until they can be transmitted to the configured server.
- Server Configuration: Locally configured connection settings (Server IP, Port, MQTT settings) are stored to facilitate communication with your organization's internal server.
- Network Status: The App checks network connectivity and Wi-Fi state to maintain communication with the configured server.
3. Camera and Barcode Scanning
The App requires camera permission to scan barcodes, which is its primary function. Please note:
- Camera frames are processed locally on your device using Google ML Kit for real-time barcode recognition.
- The App does not save or store camera images/photos.
- Camera images are not uploaded to the company server; only the decoded barcode/invoice value is transmitted.
4. How Information Is Used
Collected information is used for:
- Barcode Processing: Validating invoice identifiers and preventing duplicate scans.
- Dispatch Tracking: Tracking dispatches and maintaining accurate operational logs.
- Operational Records: Maintaining local scan history and pending dispatch queues for reference.
- Communication: Transmitting dispatch details to your configured local PC server via HTTP or MQTT.
5. Data Storage and Retention
Information processed by the App is primarily stored locally on your device:
- Local Storage: Scan history, pending queues, employee names, and configuration settings are saved on the device. These may be subject to Android OS backup mechanisms.
- Retention: Local records are retained based on the App's storage logic and can be managed or cleared by the user. Records transmitted to your company's internal server are governed by your organization's data retention policies.
6. Third-Party Services
The App uses standard software libraries (Android Jetpack, CameraX, Google ML Kit, OkHttp) to provide its scanning and networking functionality. It does not use third-party analytics, tracking, advertising, or data-sharing SDKs.
7. Data Security
Data stored locally is protected by Android device security. Transmission to your organization's configured server is handled via HTTP or MQTT. Organizations should ensure their internal servers and networks are secured appropriately.
8. Data Deletion
You can manage and delete data through the App’s interface:
- Scan history and pending entries can be cleared via the App’s history/settings functions.
- Uninstalling the App or clearing its data from Android system settings will remove the data stored in the App’s internal storage on the device.
- Data that may have been included in an Android/device backup (if backup is enabled by the user/device) is managed by the Android backup system and may persist outside the App’s control. Users should consult their device/OS backup settings if they wish to manage or delete backup copies.
- For data already transmitted to your organization’s internal server, retention and deletion are governed by your organization’s policies and are outside the App’s direct control. Please contact your IT or warehouse administrator.
